Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information RemitMeter collects when you use this site and how that information is used, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 1981. It applies to every page on the site, including the exchange rate calculator, corridor pages, and provider comparison pages, and was last updated in October 2026.
Information We Collect
RemitMeter does not require an account to use the site, and we never ask you for personal financial information such as bank account numbers, card details, or login credentials for any money transfer provider. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, cookie-less tools built into our hosting platform, to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — for example which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and a general location (such as country) inferred from IP address. This information is collected in aggregate, anonymized form and is not used to build an identified profile of you.
Calculator Inputs Are Not Stored
The send amount, currencies, and other figures you enter into the exchange rate calculator are used only to perform the calculation displayed on your screen. These inputs are processed in your browser or on our server solely to return a result, are not saved to any database, are not linked to your identity, and are never submitted to Wise, Revolut, Payoneer, OFX, Remitly, WorldRemit, XE, or any other third party. When you close or refresh the page, the values you entered are gone.
Contact Form Submissions
If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, category, and message you submit, so we can read and reply to your inquiry. Submissions are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form service that delivers them directly to our inbox; we do not store submissions in our own database. We use this information only to respond to you - never to send marketing, and never shared with anyone beyond Web3Forms and the recipient inbox. If you'd rather not use the form, you can always email us directly at the address above instead.
How Affiliate Links Work
Some links on RemitMeter, including links to provider sites on corridor and comparison pages, are affiliate links placed through affiliate networks such as Partnerize and Impact.com, or directly with the provider. We may earn a commission if you click through and complete a transfer or sign up with that provider. These links carry a referral code so the provider and its affiliate network know the visit came from RemitMeter — this referral code is the only data shared with them. Once you leave our site, your activity on the provider's website is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, not this one, so we recommend reviewing the destination provider's policy before entering any personal or financial details there.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
RemitMeter sets one strictly-necessary cookie, to remember your selected language, and stores your display theme (light or dark) in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. For measuring site usage, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are cookie-less by design: they do not set any cookie, do not fingerprint individual visitors from IP address, and do not track you across other websites. Because no tracking cookie is used, this site does not show a cookie-consent banner. If we ever add a cookie-based analytics or advertising tool, we will update this policy and add a consent banner before that tool is activated.
No Sale of Personal Data
RemitMeter does not sell personal data to third parties. Data gathered through analytics or affiliate-link referral codes is used only to operate, measure, and improve the site and its affiliate partnerships, not to build profiles for resale or for unrelated advertising purposes.
Data Retention
Because RemitMeter has no user accounts and does not store calculator inputs, there is very little personal data for us to retain in the first place. Aggregate, anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 12 months from collection, after which it is deleted or kept only in a fully aggregated form that can no longer be tied back to an individual visitor. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry, then deleted.
International Data Transfers
RemitMeter's hosting and analytics infrastructure (Vercel), the affiliate networks referenced above, and Web3Forms (our contact-form processor) process data on servers located outside Israel and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this involves personal data originating in the EEA or UK, these providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard that data.
Your Rights Under GDPR and Israeli Law
If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing (Articles 15-21). If you are in Israel, the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, as amended by Amendment 13 (in effect from August 2025), gives you broadly similar rights. Because we do not maintain accounts or store identifying information tied to calculator use, there is often little or nothing to provide, correct, or delete, but we will respond to any request we receive. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority if you are in Israel, or your national supervisory authority if you are in the EEA/UK. To make a request, use the contact method on this site's Contact page.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site, the tools it uses, or applicable rules. Any update will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date. Continuing to use RemitMeter after a change is posted means you accept the revised policy.
Data Controller and Contact
RemitMeter is an independently operated comparison site (see How It Works for more on who runs it). For questions about this Privacy Policy, to exercise any of the rights described above, or for any other privacy question, please get in touch through the contact details on the site's Contact page, and we will do our best to respond promptly.
