Accessibility Statement

RemitMeter is committed to making this site usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we've done, what standards we follow, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.

Our Commitment

We want everyone - regardless of visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive ability - to be able to use RemitMeter to find and compare money transfer options. Accessibility is something we actively work on, not a one-time checklist.

Standards We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the most widely recognized accessibility standard. This includes sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigability, descriptive labels for screen readers, and a logical heading structure on every page.

What We've Implemented

Concretely, this means: a "skip to content" link for keyboard users, descriptive labels on icon-only controls like the logo and menu button, text and background colors that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode, a logical heading structure with one H1 per page, labeled form fields with visible keyboard focus indicators, and a responsive layout - including the navigation menu - that works at phone, tablet, and desktop widths without requiring horizontal scrolling.

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some parts of the site may not yet fully meet every criterion. If you encounter a barrier using RemitMeter with a screen reader, keyboard, or other assistive technology, we want to know about it so we can fix it.

Feedback and Contact

If you have trouble using any part of this site because of a disability, or have suggestions for improving accessibility, please reach out through our contact page. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address genuine barriers.
